Certified to meet the new NIJ .06 standard and rigorously tested against “special threats,” the Perform-XP body armor is also available with a new Perform-XP Level IIIA ballistic system. The Perform-XP consistently stops most bullets within the second or third layer of a ballistic panel. The remaining layers absorb the energy of the bullet, and tests have shown that Kevlar XP decreases back face signature by 15% or more, thereby reducing trauma injuries. It’s also up to 10% lighter than other commercially available technologies designed to defeat the most challenging NIJ Level IIIA ballistic threat – the .44 Magnum. Perform-XP is also engineered to protect against other “special threats” ammunition, such as the 9mm SXT 127 grain and FN 5.7×28.
