Bates Footwear – Code 6

“Code 6 is comfort and performance without compromise,” said Eric Fracassi, Product Development Director with Bates. “We improved every aspect of a tactical boot. We decreased weight and increased the durability of the boot by incorporating contemporary design with innovative materials.”

Code 6 is 15% lighter than Bates Ultra-Lites, making them the lightest tactical boot available from Bates. Combining the time-tested, traditional look of a tactical boot with athletic-inspired design cues and performance materials all while maintaining—and improving upon—the quality and durability for which Bates is known.

Bates Strike Boots Endless Endurance

Endless Endurance

It’s not easy to create footwear that keeps the elements out while letting fresh air circulate, but Bates has risen to the challenge with the debut of its Strike line. Coming in April, these waterproof, highly durable boots are also breathable and comfortable enough for all-day wear thanks to the newly developed Endurance Performance System. The four-part technology consists of a slip-resistant, multi-terrain rubber lug outsole; a nylon shank adding support and stability; a dual-density EVA midsole that absorbs shocks and redistributes pressure; and a dual-density memory-foam footbed for ultimate arch support and cushioning. Available in 6- and 8-inch versions, the Strike Boot is designed to stop foot fatigue in its tracks while keeping wearers safe, dry and looking sharp.

Danner Kinetic

Next-Generation Toughness

Danner took its toughest full-grain leather and rip-stop nylon upper, added a polyurethane footbed and a deeply cushioned midsole, and dubbed it the Danner Kinetic. The Kinetic is tough on the outside but soft on the inside, and thanks to its lightweight build, it’s incredibly agile and responsive. LEOs will also appreciate the easily polished surfaces that are also easily cleaned after trekking through inclement weather or a foot chase. Some models feature a convenient side zipper for easy entry and exit. The Kinetic line includes six- or eight-inch-tall versions, tipping the scales at 50 to 53 ounces. MSRP $150-180.
