SIG Sauer P290 SIG Sauer’s polymer-frame, lightweight pistol brings reliability to a new backup pocket-carry pistol. Unlike many small pistols, the P290 features drift-adjustable sights in standard Sig Sauer dovetails. This gives shooters the option of either standard contrast sights or SIGLite night sights. Designed as a pocket or backup pistol, the P290 features a double-action-only trigger for reliability and safety. Magazine capacity is six rounds with the standard flush-fit magazine, and an optional eight-round extended-capacity magazine is planned. Despite its small size and weight (20.5 ounces with magazine), the P290 offers a reversible magazine catch that is left-hand adjustable.
