Bushmaster Firearms ACR The ACR redefines the term “modular” with the extraordinary ability to change calibers, barrel lengths and stock configurations in minutes – without the use of tools. New for 2011, the ACR platform has been expanded to include the ACR Optics Ready Carbine (ORC), ACR Basic Folder and ACR “State Compliant” versions. Although Bushmaster offers more options and variants than we have space to list, the basic configuration starts with a 16.5-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel (1:7- and 1:9-inch twist available); adjustable, two-position gas-piston-driven system for suppressed or unsuppressed fire; tool-less, quick-change barrel system available in 10.5-, 14.5-, 16.5- and 18-inch lengths and in multiple calibers; front/rear flip sights; and a free-floating monolithic top rail for optic mounting, just to name a few.
